“Looking back at such a short period as 12 weeks, I’m really pleased at the amazing progress I’ve made on my Train with Charli plan. It’s without doubt the most important investment I’ve made, and I consider it to be unbelievable value for money considering all of the cash I was pouring down the drain on Fat burner pills every single month with no result! Importantly, I don’t view it as just a 12 week plan – I’ve learnt a huge amount about how my body responds to certain foods and ratios, which gives me a brilliant platform to base my nutrition around going forward.
I decided to get myself a nutrition plan as I’d been going to the gym for a long, long time and whilst I’d made progress; I could never really get to where I wanted to be. I’d always managed to progress my weight training week by week and I worked hard in the gym so I came to the conclusion that my nutrition was the issue. I started researching plans online, some of which offer great advice and others not so much, but ultimately I found it all very confusing: Should I cut my carbs? How much fat? Meal timings, how many calories do I need? I also found a massive practical problem with most of the pre-written plans I found, which was that I travel constantly, in-fact 4-5 days a week I will be living in a hotel and working a couple of hundred miles away from home, commuting on trains and therefore, I’m usually at the mercy of what I can eat in restaurants of various description. Finding a plan that fitted with this was key – ready made plans that called for elaborate lunchtime cooking routines were a no-go for me.
What I found with Charli’s plan is that I had not only recipe suggestions, but helpful pointers for what to eat in restaurants, sandwich bars such as pret as well as my overall nutrition goals for calories, carbs, protein and fats. This made it really easy to walk into a hotel or restaurant and know what to order – in-fact, I think it has made the difference between sticking to the plan and not; you simply just can’t get this level of personalisation by downloading something from the internet!
What I got in essence was a personalised plan, recipe and cook ahead suggestions that factored in my goals, budget, lifestyle and effort levels as well as help along the way – sometimes with practical issues such as: “Hey Charli, I’m going on a corporate piss-up next week – what do I do with my nutrition to compensate?”
What did the plan help me achieve? I could separate this into 2 clear areas; there are the numbers of course:
I started at 171Lbs and 14% of BF and I ended up at 162Lbs and just under 10% BF, which means I lost just over half a stone of fat with very little muscle loss. My waist shrank and my chest size stayed the same, so numerically, I saw some fantastic results.
The other, more interesting area of achievement is mentally – as I approached the goal (getting to 10%BF) I began to realise what else is possible, which is an interesting place to be mentally as I look at the great results but realise that there is so much more to come now if I apply the same principles going forward.
I’m pretty confident in saying that a nutrition plan from Charli is the difference between going year to year and not achieving the results that your gym sessions deserve and nailing your goal.”
“Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been hyper-concious of how I felt in my own skin and how my clothes felt on me. For a long time, this destroyed any self confidence I had.
